Entia is looking for a Head of Engineering to join the company’s management team. The Head of Engineering will work closely with the CTO to set the company’s technical direction, refine company processes and provide high-level technical review of products.

What You'll Do:

  • Be responsible for all engineering aspects of medical device development.

  • Work alongside Product Managers to provide direction, help prioritise and resource manage engineering work.

  • Provide technical review on all aspects of medical device development to maintain product quality.

  • Help the CTO and senior management with strategic planning.

  • Evolve the company’s processes to further product development speed, quality and efficiency.

  • Line manage the engineering team.

  • Identify resource gaps in the engineering team.

  • Help maintain and cultivate the company’s culture.

 

You are:

  • Someone who has excellent communication skills and the ability to explain yourself clearly in a multi-disciplinary environment.

  • Someone who has excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Someone who has a wide interest in technology and is excited by hard engineering problems.

  • Proactive and will work to fix issues quickly.

  • Excellent at prioritising work.

  • Naturally collaborative in your approach and able to inspire others.

  • Someone who loves processes and continuously improving them.

You Must Have:

  • A minimum of 3 years of managing an engineering team.

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver physical products with embedded software at a high-quality level from R&D to manufacturing.

  • Experience in managing and growing an engineering team.

  • Experience of working in a quality management system.

  • Knowledge of software, electronics and physical product development processes.

 

Ideally, You Will Have:

  • Experience and knowledge of how to build medical devices.

  • Knowledge of ISO 13485:2016.

  • Knowledge of Lean, Agile and Systems Thinking/Engineering methodologies.
