Entia is looking for a Head of Design to join the company’s management team. This role will be pivotal to setting the creative direction of a company that is changing the way people receive care for life-changing conditions.

What You'll Do:

  • Be responsible for all design work across the company.

  • Work alongside Product Managers to provide direction, help prioritise and resource manage design work.

  • Lead work feedback sessions within the design team to maintain consistent high-quality work

  • Help senior management with strategic planning.

  • Evolve the company’s design processes to further product development speed, quality and efficiency.

  • Champion design thinking and user-centred design across the company.

  • Line manage the design team.

  • Identify resource gaps in the design team.

  • Help maintain and cultivate the company’s culture.

  • Encourage team collaboration, brainstorming and co-creation workshops.

  • Utilise the different skill sets of the design team to create high-quality output.

 

You are:

  • Someone who has outstanding communication skills and the ability to explain yourself clearly in a multi-disciplinary environment.

  • Someone who has excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Someone who strongly advocates for user-centred design and user experience.

  • Someone who has a wide interest in design and is excited by challenging problems.

  • Proactive, positive and will work to fix issues quickly.

  • Excellent at prioritising work.

  • Naturally collaborative in your approach and able to inspire others.

  • Someone who embraces processes and continuously improves them.

  • Someone with knowledge across many different design disciplines such as photography, animation, print, UX and product design and their tools.

You Must Have:

  • A minimum of 3 years of managing a design team and a minimum of 5 years of design practice.

  • A broad range of experience in industrial, UX, visual and communication design in consumer or medical products.

  • Demonstrated that you can apply design strategy effectively. 

  • Excellent understanding of the principles of different design disciplines.

  • Knowledge of and experience in designing for manufacture.

  • Excellent ability to communicate brand and company values.

  • A portfolio that demonstrates your excellent design skills across multiple design disciplines.

 

Ideally, You Will Have:

  • Experience in designing medical devices.

  • Experience in designing medical apps.

  • Experience collaborating with engineering teams.
